| Description | Etoposide glucuronide, also known as 2,2-DF-CTP, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as podophyllotoxins. These are tetralin lignans in which the benzene moiety of the tetralin skeleton is fused to a 1,3-dioxolane and the cyclohexane is fused to a butyrolactone (pyrrolidin-2-one). In humans, etoposide glucuronide is involved in the etoposide action pathway. Etoposide glucuronide is a primary metabolite. Primary metabolites are metabolically or physiologically essential metabolites. They are directly involved in an organism’s growth, development or reproduction. Based on a literature review a small amount of articles have been published on Etoposide glucuronide. |
