| Common Name | Malvidin 3-(6-coumaroylglucoside) 5-glucoside |
|---|
| Description | Malvidin 3-(6-coumaroylglucoside) 5-glucoside belongs to the class of organic compounds known as flavonoid 3-o-p-coumaroyl glycosides. These are flavonoid 3-O-glycosides where the carbohydrate moiety is esterified with a p-coumaric acid. P-coumaric acid is an organic derivative of cinnamic acid, that carries a hydroxyl group at the 4-position of the benzene ring. Malvidin 3-(6-coumaroylglucoside) 5-glucoside has been detected, but not quantified in, a few different foods, such as common grapes (Vitis vinifera), fruits, and hyssops (Hyssopus officinalis). This could make malvidin 3-(6-coumaroylglucoside) 5-glucoside a potential biomarker for the consumption of these foods. Based on a literature review a significant number of articles have been published on Malvidin 3-(6-coumaroylglucoside) 5-glucoside. |
